When I workout, I do it in a bar.

After the bar I usually have a drink;)

Went to the market and couldn´t find anything, neither did this dude. Luckily he/she didn´t think it was all "shit".

We spent last weekend in Las Vegas.

The only "hardcore" thing that happened was Daniel jumping out from Stratosphere. Brave man! You can see him jump here underneath. In Swedish he says "I can fly, I am not afraid." But actually, I can hear a little fear in his voice...I am not convinced...But like I´ve heard, "Danger is real. Fear is a choice." Oh, just googled that it is a Will Smith quote...A good one.

 Today I had the luck to meet these talented guys from NIN. They are going on a world tour soon, I am going on a concert if I get the chance somewhere;)

It is happening so much all the time and one thing I am happy about is that I am slowly starting to do eyelash extensions again. Tomorrow my neighbor is coming over. She is a fantastic painter BTW.

How hot is "hot"???

The weeks flies by so fast. Tomorrow we´ll leave L.A for Las Vegas. Should be a 5 hour drive. Just for fun, to meet up friends, let´s see what happens over there.

How hot is " hot", anyway?

Los(t) (Angel)es

The magic of Los(t) (Angel)es has got a hold on me now....The city of many wonders...And it´s my home....hm.

I got lost today on my walk home from a yoga class.
10 minutes was suddenly 45 minutes...No hat, no sunscreen, no water...I have a sunburn. Oh yes.

 I felt like I was lost in the dessert, but I was in town...."Just a couple of blocks from home"...so I thought....

Suddenly, I was in a narrow street and a Mexican guy wanted to make sure that I saw him pee....MEN!

The thirst and the panic to not know when I got home came over me....I was thirsty for water in about 30 minutes, haha...It is really horrible when you can´t tell the distance...Especially when you are hungry and thirsty after a class....!

Oh my, what a luxury problem. You can laugh, I am laughing now, but not at that time....I was so hungry and thirsty, so for awhile I thought that this "newborn angel" would turn into one of those coyotes that we met on our street two nights ago...

A princess in disguise.

Café Aroma in Studio City had a good spirit and cakes...Yummy!

"Although a sweet princess can fast turn into a bitter fat cow"...All Swedes know a princess when they see one...I saw this in a different disguise.

I met these girls on my walk on Sunset Blvd. "This is our area, you bitch!", they clucked...

Had my picture taken for my work permit. Housewife for another 3 months is OK;)

Their speciality, sushi on warm rice...AMEN, to that!

The sky is blue and I don´t have to take the car...I can sweat in a bus.

Golden coast cruising

Started the day today with champagne breakfast....

We went out eating with some friends last night in San Diego and I tasted the best oyster I´ve ever had.

Took a stop by the road today and I saw this funny flower. Haha! Look it has a mustasch and a beard...Or is it the champagne that´s talking...???

Today we went out shopping to Citadel outlet. The drive that was supposed to take twenty minutes took one hour, forty minutes!!! So now we had a little taste of what the traffic can be like in L.A.




 On the way home I told my husband to stop the car because I was amazed by a big tree by the road, W Silver Lake Dr / Rowena.

Someone had hung up lots and lots of beautiful crystal chandeliers in a tree in a private garden.

Wow! We were amazed and surprised! And still are...;) In Sweden you can´t have anything like that...

We guess it was around 25 chandeliers hanging in the tree...

I went out from the car and found a parking meter that only took quarters for donations for that spectacular, unexpected show. Of course we donated;) Who wouldn´t....?

Lola Gaspar

  

We went to see some new friends in Santa Ana yesterday. We met up in a restaurant, Lola Gaspar. ( Put that name in mind if you happen to pass by.) The food was fantastic, and so were the drinks and service.

I´ve especially fell for a drink called The Latitude. Badaboom!!! I had an explosion of green chili in my mouth. And I wanted another one of course.;)

If you´re not into drinks I can tell you our real latitude here. It is 34° 3` 8" N / 118° 14`34" W.

BUT! If you are into drinks I can tell you that I don´t know the whole recipe of that drink but I can kind of make one up right now...

 

It consisted of (trying to remember, guessing...) mezcal, ( yes, the Mexican liquor with a worm in the bottom, I´m tough, you know ), ginger, crushed green chili and probably lime...It was served in a whiskeyglass with an oversized ice cube in it. And of course there was half of a green chili in it for the decoration...! Madre Mia, Caramba, Mamasita tenido calor...! 

If anyone knows the real recipe, please let me know;)

Finally in the US!

Hi, everyone. I just decided to blog about our new life in our new home country, US. Let´s see how long this blog will live....

I am an eyelash designer from Sweden, that´s what I want to do right now. It is my passion. I am also a certified makeup artist (and a Callanetics-instructor, but I don´t practice it at this moment because I´ve had my head full of life changing thoughts....I knooooow, excuses, excuses, blah, blah, blah, haha;)

I couldn´t decide which language I´d write in but I chose English. Reason is that the most Swedish people can read it and I need to practice it.

Well, our first "culture-shock" was finding a vacuum cleaner. Now we have bought an american one, and it looks like we´ve got a "movie projector" included...Surprise;) Thank You! This is really a land full of surprises!

Ok, this was a small introduction and a test, now I want to check how it looks like on the blog, my first posting.
